TJO started as an idea of David Ziff of Chapel Hill in September 2003. David, Stan Levy and Phil Bushnell also of Chapel Hill worked together to get TJO up and running, providing rehearsal space early on in Dave’s (crowded) living room and Stan’s medical office. The band is indebted to them. 

The group also recognizes the efforts of some of the early long time members, some who have left us way too soon.
